Silent but Present 2

Joseph kept on using his God-given gift, he did not wait for Pharaoh's officers to come begging, he willingly used his gift of interpretation of dreams as an opportunity to point them to God and we should do that too- Read Genesis 40: 8.

To show that Joseph was just as human as you and I, he told the chief butler to "bring him out when it is well with him" Genesis 40: 14-15. Oftentimes, like Joseph, we forget that our help comes from God alone and that even though men may forget, like the chief butler forgot about Joseph, God never forgets, He always keeps His promises.

Now, let's imagine the best case scenario if the chief butler had kept to his words, remembered Joseph and got him out of the prison, what would his life had turned out to be? He probably would have gone back to being the chief slave in another man's house, but no, the God of Joseph had something better for him, His plans for Joseph was to rule, so He kept him in prison a little longer than Joseph would have liked.
If Joseph was anything like me, he must have started a countdown to freedom the moment the chief butler left the prison, only for his hopes to be dashed as days went by....but GOD!!! Our God whose words never goes unfulfilled showed up at the very appointed time for Joseph and gave him dominion (Governor), the one he dreamt about Read Genesis 41.

Not only did Joseph's dream of his brethren bowing to him come true, God also used him to save the nation from famine. That's how our God works, He uses both our good and bad experiences for greater good.

Imagine how many things would have gone wrong if Joseph had chosen to doubt what God showed him in the past because of his period of silence, what great future he would have missed out on if he gave up hope even a day too early (in 10 years of waiting), so whenever you feel like God is making you wait for too long, remember the story of Joseph.

God is saying to you today, trust my word and also my silence, hold on to what you know is true....my promise that "I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, 'My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.' From the east I summon a bird of prey; from a far-off land, a man to fulfill my purpose. What I have said, that I will bring about; what I have planned, that I will do. (Isaiah 46: 10 - 11).

Remember that God always prepares us for all that He has for us and that is a process, not an instant occurrence and the fact that we don't see or feel anything happening in the physical doesn't mean something isn't happening in the spiritual realm, like David, we have to remain confident that we will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living, we must wait for the Lord, be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. (Psalm 27: 13 - 14). We must always trust God even when victory doesn't seem near.... God put Joseph on hold to coordinate the events in his life to line up with God's will and purpose, is that the story of your life right now? Trust the process, trust God's word and also trust His silence, all things are working for your good so wait in peaceful confidence.

Blessings to you.

Well said. Trusting alone in God births our breakthrough to a fulfilled life. God is God. God remains God, irrespective of the situation. Thanks for this great message, Alldatmatas.
